
This role is responsible for managing and evolving aecom.com, bridging design and development to ensure a seamless user experience and shaping the future iteration of the platform. Key duties include overseeing day-to-day content updates, managing UI/UX development requests, maintaining quality control, and analyzing site performance for improvements.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day content updates and UI/UX-related development requests across aecom.com
- Manage and mentor the Content Coordinator to ensure timely and accurate execution of tasks
- Maintain quality control for all published content and site components
- Analyse current site performance and user behaviour to identify UI/UX improvements
- Collaborate with design and development teams to define UI/UX standards as the website evolves
- Advocate for accessibility, responsive design, and usability best practices
- Work closely with developers, designers, and business stakeholders to deliver cohesive user experiences
- Translate UI/UX recommendations into actionable requirements for the development team
- Conduct usability testing and provide feedback to improve workflows and site navigation
- Ensure compliance with brand guidelines and global accessibility standards
- Escalate issues and recommend resolutions to Team Lead for timely resolution
Requirements
- 3–5 years in UI/UX engineering or front-end development with a strong UI/UX focus
- Experience working with structured content workflows or CMS-driven websites (enterprise exposure is a plus)
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (React preferred)
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (Sanity CMS experience is a plus)
- Understanding of AEO/SEO principles and web performance optimisation
- Strong grasp of human-centred design principles and accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Lean, heuristic-led UX approach rooted in real-world observation and common sense
- Ability to work with wireframes and prototypes in Figma (creation or collaboration)
- Experience with global websites and multi-regional content strategies is preferred
- Familiarity with analytics and observation tools (i.e. Google Analytics, Clarity) is an advantage
- Knowledge of modern deployment workflows and digital design systems is a plus
