Jr UI/UX Designer (Contract)

The Jr UI/UX Designer will contribute to the evolution of a scalable design system and ensure visual and functional harmony across the Welldoc portfolio. They will also partner with cross-functional teams to iterate on complex UX flows and ensure design deliverables meet regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• UX Integrity & Quality Assurance: Serve as a gatekeeper for design quality by reviewing implementation deliverables from development teams to ensure the final product meets high standards for usability, aesthetic excellence, and accessibility compliance
• Partner with Human Factors: Create design artifacts—including user flows and decision logs—that support the full product lifecycle and ensure design iterations meet the rigorous standards for regulatory filings in ISO 13485 and MDSAP environments
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner deeply with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Scrum teams to iterate on complex UX flows and solve sophisticated product challenges in a collaborative, AI-driven environment

Requirements

• Modern Toolstack: Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, and Adobe CC, while actively exploring AI-assisted tools such as Claude Code, Lovable, and Figma AI
• Accessibility: Deep familiarity with WCAG 2.2 and modern accessibility guidelines, ensuring inclusive design is a core component of the product strategy
• Design Reasoning: Ability to justify design decisions through rigorous reasoning based on UX principles, user research, and product knowledge to stakeholders and development teams
• Pace & Quality: Excellent attention to detail and high-quality standards while delivering at pace against ambitious deadlines
• Regulatory Environment: Ability to work in or be trained for ISO 13485, MDSAP, HITRUST, and SOC 2 Type II compliant environments
