The role involves translating UI/UX designs into pixel-perfect HTML/CSS code and ensuring the technical feasibility of these designs. The developer will also optimize the front-end for speed and scalability while collaborating with team members.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Optimizing front-end for maximum speed and scalability
- Working with tools like Google’s page speed insights, GtMetrix, W3C HTML/CSS/JS validators to ensure clean, optimized, and performing code
- Assuring that all user input is validated before submitting to the back-end
- Collaborating with other team members and stakeholders
- Following instructions and in-house project management system as well as defined processes
Requirements
- Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
- Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
- Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
- Good understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, etc.
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
- Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, such as Photoshop
