Intern, Graphic Designer

The summer Design Intern will support Ad Astra’s marketing team by creating high-quality visual content. The intern will work under the mentorship of the Senior Graphic Designer on various digital and print design projects.

Responsibilities

• Creating high-quality visual content that advances Ad Astra's brand and mission to improve student success in higher education
• Working under the mentorship of the Senior Graphic Designer
• Gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of digital and print design projects
• Managing multiple small projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communication, digital media, or related field
• Digital Portfolio that shows strong foundational design skills (typography, layout, color, composition)
• Some classroom, freelance, or student-organization design experience preferred
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Familiarity with Figma a plus
• Basic understanding of design for digital channels (social, web, email)
• Interest or basic skills in motion graphics/video editing are welcomed but not required

Key Skills

• Foundational design skills (typography, layout, color, composition)
