As a Product Designer, you will transform consumer insights into strong product concepts and experiences for launch. You will create sketches, early volume models, CAD files, and production-ready specifications while collaborating with various teams.
Responsibilities
- Transform consumer insights into strong product concepts and experiences for launch
- Create sketches, early volume models, CAD files, CMF directions, and production-ready specifications
- Work closely with senior designers in Amsterdam and collaborate with engineers, researchers, brand teams, and suppliers across China and Europe
- Apply and evolve Philips Aventās Design Language System, ensuring globally consistent, high design quality
- Support design-for-manufacturing and guide implementation in partnership with local engineering teams safeguarding design quality
Requirements
- 5+ years in product design with a proven track record in consumer products and concept-to-execution design
- Strong sketching, visualization, and storytelling ability
- Proficiency in CAD (Rhino or SolidWorks) and excellence in form development
- Ability to apply design language systems, brand values, and CMF guidelines to create designs ready for launch
- Experience in user research, benchmarking, and insight translation to create user-centered design solutions
