Expert Product Designer - Mobile App
Sword Health Remote (🇧🇷 Porto Alegre, Metropolitan Region of Porto Alegre, Brazil)
The Expert Product Designer will advocate for member needs throughout product development, conducting research and translating insights into actionable design strategies for the native clinical product. They will work in fast, iterative cycles to improve usability and retention, partnering closely with engineering, product, and clinical teams.
Responsibilities
- Advocate for member needs at every stage of product development
- Conduct research and analyze competitors to uncover insights and opportunities
- Translate insights into product strategy and actionable design directions
- Turn requirements into intuitive, visually engaging, and emotionally resonant experiences
- Work in fast, iterative cycles to improve usability and drive retention
- Validate and refine designs through user testing, data, research, and feedback loops
- Partner closely with engineering, product, and clinical teams
- Present design rationales and research findings with clarity and influence
- Ensure seamless design-to-development handoff and uphold quality in execution
Requirements
- 5+ years of product design experience, ideally within healthcare, technology, or other complex problem spaces
- A genuine passion for creating products that meaningfully improve people’s health and quality of life
- A strong portfolio demonstrating an end-to-end user-centered design process
- Expert-level Figma and agile prototyping skills
- Experience designing for native mobile apps and direct-to-consumer (B2C and D2C) experiences
- Hands-on experience with user research and usability testing
- A solid understanding of design systems and how to scale consistent, high-quality experiences
