The UX Researcher will collaborate with various squads to understand user behavior and improve product experiences. They will conduct research to identify motivations and challenges, driving insights that influence product decisions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with the Trial Classroom squad to understand trial behaviour, reduce friction, and sharpen early-stage product value
- Supporting the Try & Commit squad to identify the moments and motivations that convert curious learners into committed subscribers
- Driving research with the LTV squad, tackling some of Preplyâs most challenging retention and habit-formation problems
- Working hand-in-hand with UXR peers, contributing to tribe-level planning, shaping quarterly and annual priorities, and aligning research to high-leverage opportunities
- Running lean, high-impact research that blends qual, quant, and data-partnered insights
- Delivering insights through clear, actionable artefacts and workshops
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on UX Research experience in a fast-paced growth-oriented environment
- Mixed-methods fluency: youâre comfortable interpreting quantitative data, spotting patterns, generating sharp hypotheses, and designing lean, high-impact studies that balance speed and rigour
- A track record of driving action: your research doesnât just live in decks; it unlocks opportunity areas, and influences product decisions
- Exceptional storytelling craft: you turn complex insight into narratives that teams remember, rally around, and actually use
- Competitive mindset: you can benchmark edtech and adjacent competitors, bringing external perspective into our product thinking
- Collaborative energy: youâve partnered closely with Product, Design, Data, and Engineering, and you know how to build strong, trust-based relationships
Key Skills
- Foundational UX or research education (formal or self-driven): HCI, psychology, design research, applied social sciences, bootcamps, certificates
- Clear, confident communication in English (written and spoken)
- Any additional language is a plus
