Responsibilities
- Lead the design of new experiences and products that impact how QuillBot users communicate effectively
- Guide projects from ideation through execution, ensuring every detail is considered and every interaction is refined for a cohesive, intuitive experience
- Demonstrate mastery in design, with an exceptional eye for detail and nuance in the UI
- Ensure that our products not only function well but also delight users
- Partner with UX research to inform design decisions
- Design with measurable impact in mind, creating solutions that drive activation, deepen user engagement, and broaden how our tools are used
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, writers and brand, to create cohesive and innovative design solutions
- Push the boundaries of what writing tools can be
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the design team
Requirements
- Professional training and degree in UX or Product Design
- 8+ years of experience in a product design role, with at least four years as a lead designer
- A passion for writing
- Skilled prototyper
- Skilled in designing tools for the web / desktop as well as mobile
- Thoughtful and passionate collaborator
- A deep fascination for how technology intersects with creativity and empowers people rather than supplants them
- A strong command of the English language, both written and spoken
