Egen is seeking a UX/UI Designer to create accessible, intuitive experiences for clients in government, healthcare, and beyond, bringing ideas to life through strong design systems, user journeys, and collaboration.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in both B2B and B2C environments
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in government sectors and/or healthcare
- Familiarity with ADA compliance and WCAG is highly preferred
- Proficiency in UX research (interviews, user flows), UI design, wireframing, and flow creation
- Proficiency in Figma and FigJam
- Experience creating User Journeys and Happy Paths
- Understanding and application of Atomic Design Methodology
- Experience building and maintaining component libraries
- Ability to design accessible and intuitive interfaces, especially for government projects
- Experience designing websites and apps
- Experience working as a contractor
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Google Design Certificate (or equivalent) or Bootcamp workshop experience
- Ability to establish strong rapport with clients
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (e.g., demos, explaining design rationale)
- The heart of a teacher, the ability to clearly explain design decisions to clients
- Ability to learn on the go and adapt to changing project requirements
- Proactive and solution-oriented
- Well-organized workflow and design system
- Excellent documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with developers
