UX/UI Specialist (Contract)

Egen is seeking a UX/UI Designer to create accessible, intuitive experiences for clients in government, healthcare, and beyond, bringing ideas to life through strong design systems, user journeys, and collaboration.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of relevant experience
• Proven experience in both B2B and B2C environments
• Strong preference for candidates with experience in government sectors and/or healthcare
• Familiarity with ADA compliance and WCAG is highly preferred
• Proficiency in UX research (interviews, user flows), UI design, wireframing, and flow creation
• Proficiency in Figma and FigJam
• Experience creating User Journeys and Happy Paths
• Understanding and application of Atomic Design Methodology
• Experience building and maintaining component libraries
• Ability to design accessible and intuitive interfaces, especially for government projects
• Experience designing websites and apps
• Experience working as a contractor
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Google Design Certificate (or equivalent) or Bootcamp workshop experience
• Ability to establish strong rapport with clients
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (e.g., demos, explaining design rationale)
• The heart of a teacher, the ability to clearly explain design decisions to clients
• Ability to learn on the go and adapt to changing project requirements
• Proactive and solution-oriented
• Well-organized workflow and design system
• Excellent documentation skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with developers
