About Product Design careers
Product Design in 2026 has transitioned from static mockup creation to a world of functional logic and technical agency.
Modern designers act as hybrid design-engineers who use AI-assisted tools and vibe coding workflows to ship live, high-fidelity prototypes. By working at the intersection of UX and front-end logic, product designers leverage LLMs to iterate at the speed of thought.
Companies like OpenAI, Anthropic, and Vercel prioritize talent that can navigate the entire stack, balancing human-centered design with the ability to deploy production-ready interfaces across web and spatial platforms.
We host a wide variety of opportunities ranging from entry-level and junior product designer jobs to senior, staff, and design leadership positions. Our listings cover various specialties including UI/UX design, design systems, and user research. Whether you're looking for a role at Big Tech companies like Google and Apple, AI leaders like OpenAI and Anthropic, or fast-growing startups like Linear and Vercel, you'll find it here.
Absolutely. While we list many onsite and hybrid roles in major tech hubs like San Francisco, London, and New York, a significant portion of our board is dedicated to remote product design jobs. Many AI companies like Anthropic, Midjourney, and Perplexity are fully remote, as are modern tool companies like Notion and Figma. Use the "Remote Only" toggle to filter for positions that allow you to work from anywhere.
Product design salaries vary by experience and location. Junior designers often start between $70k–$95k, while Senior Product Designers can earn $150k–$220k+. AI companies like OpenAI, Anthropic, and Midjourney often offer premium compensation packages. Many of our listings include transparent salary ranges to help you find a role that matches your expectations. Check out our salary guide for more details.
A strong portfolio showcases your process, not just final designs. Include case studies that demonstrate problem-solving, user research, and measurable impact. For inspiration, browse our curated collection of top product design portfolios from designers at companies like Figma, Google, Airbnb, Meta, Netflix, Stripe, and Notion.
While Figma remains the industry standard for canvas ideation, the most competitive Product Designers now master tools that bridge the gap to production. Mastering vibe coding workflows with Cursor, v0, and Replit is becoming essential for shipping functional prototypes. Proficiency in Tailwind CSS and a baseline understanding of React or Next.js are highly sought after by engineering-heavy teams at companies like Vercel and Linear. Check out our Design Engineering jobs for roles that lean heavily into this hybrid skill set.
In 2026, the "portfolio walkthrough" has evolved. Many top-tier AI companies now include technical prototyping sessions or AI-pair designing rounds to see how you leverage LLMs in your workflow. They aren't just looking for static pixels; they want to see your functional logic and how you handle non-linear user journeys in generative interfaces. Explore our AI companies hiring designers to find opportunities at OpenAI, Anthropic, Midjourney, and more.
