Product Designer III, AWS Search, Security, Observability, Governance

The designer will own the end-to-end experience for OpenSearch, including problem framing, research, and production implementation within a builder pod. They will specifically define interfaces for agentic search and observability to ensure complex data is navigable and trustworthy.

Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end design for core OpenSearch experiences, from research to launch and post‑launch measurement
• Define conversational agentic search experience, including intent capture, reasoning visualization and trust calibration
• Embed in builder pods to influence product direction and implementation
• Design for complex search, vector, semantic, log analytics and observability workflows
• Run trust‑calibration research that directly informs roadmap
• Contribute to and extend the OpenSearch design system (OUI)
• Partner daily with product managers and engineers to balance needs and constraints
• Raise design quality through critique, mentorship and reusable patterns

Requirements

• 7+ years of design experience
• Available online portfolio
