Product Design Engineering Intern (Summer 2027)

Translate product concepts into manufacturable mechanical designs and integrate components such as PCBs, sensors, batteries, microphones, and antennas into complete hardware systems. Develop CAD models and design documentation, support prototyping and validation, and work with engineering, manufacturing partners, and vendors to resolve feasibility and production challenges.

Responsibilities

• Translate product concepts into manufacturable mechanical designs and integrate components such as PCBs, sensors, batteries, microphones, and antennas into complete hardware systems. Develop CAD models and design documentation, support prototyping and validation, and work with engineering, manufacturing partners, and vendors to resolve feasibility and production challenges.

Requirements

• Candidates should have a solid foundation in material science, CAD, tolerance analysis, design for manufacturability, and hardware manufacturing processes, along with knowledge of PCB or electrical component integration. The role also requires hands-on prototyping, self-direction in ambiguous environments, and strong communication across design, engineering, and manufacturing teams; 1–2 years of related experience is preferred.
