Mechanical Design Manager

Lead and mentor a team of five engineers while providing hands-on technical direction for mechanical design, rotating equipment, fluid systems, and product development. Oversee engineering standards and investigations, and drive design optimisation, reliability, cost reduction, and compliance with industry and safety requirements.

• Lead and mentor a team of five engineers while providing hands-on technical direction for mechanical design, rotating equipment, fluid systems, and product development. Oversee engineering standards and investigations, and drive design optimisation, reliability, cost reduction, and compliance with industry and safety requirements.

Requirements

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required, along with substantial mechanical engineering experience, particularly in rotating machinery and fluid-handling equipment. The role also calls for team leadership experience, practical problem-solving ability, knowledge of engineering analysis and standards, and familiarity with materials, structural integrity, and vibration analysis; Chartered Engineer status is beneficial.
