Senior Product Designer, AWS Field Experience

Lead the end-to-end design process for new and existing AWS Field Experience solutions from conception to execution. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product vision, negotiate priorities, and advocate for design excellence across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead design for new and existing solutions, owning end‑to‑end experience from concept to execution
• Negotiate priorities, achieve alignment on customer problems, and define product vision
• Design complex workflows and balance divergent user perspectives across multiple technologies
• Work autonomously while actively collaborating with cross‑functional teams, peer designers, senior management, and stakeholders
• Build and maintain healthy, positive relationships with all stakeholders and end users
• Contribute to overarching org strategy and produce designs that integrate seamlessly into agentic experiences
• Drive measurement of user experience health using quantitative and qualitative metrics and work backwards from user needs
• Scale design processes and mechanisms across multiple solutions and the organization
• Raise the bar on design quality, creative and holistic thinking across all work streams
• Lead with conviction, inspire passion in others, and act as a leader of leaders

Requirements

• 7+ years of design experience
• Bachelor's degree or higher in design, HCI, or related field
• 6+ years as a UX/Interaction Designer, Information Architect, or similar role
• 4+ years creating user flows, wireframes, mockups, and specifications
• 5+ years of experience in user experience design, interaction design, or information architecture
• Strong knowledge of design principles such as typography, composition, scale, and color theory
• Highly proficient with design software and AI tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud)
• Experience handling ambiguous challenges and strong problem‑solving abilities
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Presentation and whiteboarding skills with comfort speaking to executives and developers
• Experience in a fast‑paced, high‑tech environment
• Experience conducting usability studies, user research, and creating personas and journey maps
• Experience collaborating directly with developers for implementation
• Proficiency in front‑end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Master's degree or higher in design, HCI, or related discipline (preferred)
