Part-time Faculty, B.S. Manufacturing Design Engineering Technology

Teach in the Manufacturing Design Engineering Technology program and provide timely feedback while maintaining a safe, inclusive, student-centered learning environment. Complete grading and assessment tasks, support at-risk students in collaboration with student services, and contribute feedback on course content and program quality.

Responsibilities

• Provide substantive, timely feedback to students on assessments and assignments
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, student‑centric learning environment
• Complete required tasks on deadlines (grades, rubrics, grade appeals, etc.)
• Maintain professional training and scholarly activities as applicable
• Provide feedback on course content to the course lead
• Identify at‑risk students and collaborate with student services

Requirements

• MS in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field
• Significant expertise in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and MATLAB
• 3+ years of teaching experience in higher education
• 3+ years of industry experience designing complex engineering devices and product life cycles
• Expertise in at least two of the following: materials and manufacturing, human factors, reliability engineering, product design optimization, concurrent design, design of experiments
• Preferred Ph.D. in Manufacturing Design or related field
