Lead and develop hotel interior design projects through all design phases, producing and overseeing technical drawings and custom furniture documentation while reviewing partner submissions. Shape creative direction, source materials and furnishings, ensure design quality within technical, budget, and schedule constraints, coordinate with internal and external teams, and potentially manage junior designers.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop interior design projects from concept through detailed design and construction documentation
- Produce and supervise technical drawings for interior architecture and bespoke furniture
- Review, correct and approve plans and technical documents submitted by contractors and partners
- Contribute to the creative direction of projects with strong, coherent and innovative design proposals
- Ensure architectural and decorative quality while respecting brand identity, technical constraints, budgets and schedules
- Source and specify materials, finishes, furniture and technical solutions that match each project's narrative
- Translate design concepts into detailed specifications, material selections and overall experience
- Collaborate closely with design, development, operations teams and external consultants
- Maintain rigorous followâup of deliverables and project milestones
- Stay ahead of trends, innovations and best practices to enrich current and future projects
- Mentor and potentially manage junior designers, providing guidance and organization
Requirements
- Minimum 8+ years of interior design or architecture experience, preferably in hospitality, highâend retail or lifestyle projects
- Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture and detailed execution
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp and/or Rhino
- Ability to manage junior designers and lead multiâdisciplinary project teams
- Excellent English communication (written and spoken) and ability to work in an international environment
- Demonstrated creativity, strong conceptual vision and attention to detail
- Experience sourcing materials, furnishings and technical solutions aligned with project concepts
- Strong project management skills with ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and tight deadlines
