Fire Protection Design Manager

Manage design and BIM activities for new-construction sprinkler projects, including project schedules, designer supervision, drawing and calculation reviews, material procurement, and coordination with field teams and customers. Coordinate permits, vendor invoices, shop drawings, design conflicts, and project meetings while ensuring code compliance and safe work practices.
Responsibilities
- Manage design and BIM activities for new-construction sprinkler projects, including project schedules, designer supervision, drawing and calculation reviews, material procurement, and coordination with field teams and customers. Coordinate permits, vendor invoices, shop drawings, design conflicts, and project meetings while ensuring code compliance and safe work practices.
Requirements
- Candidates need 5–7 years of fire protection design experience or equivalent training and experience, prior supervisory or management experience, and knowledge of NFPA codes and local authority requirements. They should be proficient with CAD or fire protection design software, able to interpret architectural drawings, and have strong organizational, communication, computer, and problem-solving skills; NICET Level II certification is preferred but not required.
