(Senior) Product Designer (m/w/d)

You will conduct user research and translate insights into clear product directions while collaborating with engineering to deliver effective solutions. You are responsible for designing complex B2B workflows and utilizing AI tools to enhance the research and prototyping process.
Responsibilities
- Interview restaurant operators, shift managers and staff to understand real work processes
- Translate research insights into clear product direction, problem statements and workflow visualizations
- Use AI for research, exploration, prototyping, testing and iteration, ensuring high quality outcomes
- Validate concepts early by testing prototypes with users and incorporating feedback
- Design understandable, reliable complex workflows, accounting for roles, edge cases, accessibility and responsive behavior
- Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers, clarifying decisions and supporting delivery
- Create interactive, functional prototypes and avoid reliance on static design files alone
- Communicate design rationale clearly in English
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and shipping digital products with concrete impact examples
- Conducted user interviews, observations and usability tests, translating findings into product decisions
- Designed complex B2B or operational workflows as clear end‑to‑end experiences
- Built interactive, functional prototypes beyond static mock‑ups
- Applied AI tools critically throughout the product development process
- Made data‑driven product decisions based on research and usability feedback
- Strong visual and interaction design skills, with attention to hierarchy, states and consistent patterns
- Effective collaboration with engineers and ability to discuss implementation trade‑offs
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Optional: experience with workforce management, HR or payroll software; contributed to a design system; interest in hospitality operations; professional German proficiency
