Sr. Simulation Scientist, Worldwide Design Engineering - Simulation

Lead strategic simulation and optimization projects to design and improve complex fulfillment network processes. Influence scientific strategy, mentor team members, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovative design decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and delivery of discrete‑event simulation solutions using tools such as FlexSim, AnyLogic, or similar
• Develop and maintain simulation models for complex fulfillment network processes
• Create simulation‑driven artifacts, including algorithms, validation reports, and technical documentation
• Mentor and educate the simulation data‑science community on best practices and emerging technologies
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to define equipment specifications, material flow logic, and site layout
• Influence business strategy by providing simulation data and recommendations
• Write white papers and technical artifacts documenting approaches and outcomes
• Balance trade‑offs across organizations and communicate findings to stakeholders

Requirements

• PhD or Master's degree with at least 5 years of quantitative research experience
• 5+ years applying scientific principles to business problems
• Experience communicating qualitative research methods and findings to non‑research audiences
• Strong statistical and simulation expertise
• Proficiency in Python or another object‑oriented language
