Sr. Product Designer, AWS Applied AI Solutions

Lead the end-to-end mobile-first, AI-native candidate experience for Amazon Connect Talent. Collaborate with engineering and data science to define AI behavior, manage system uncertainty, and build AI-coded prototypes to drive product alignment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mobile‑first, AI‑native candidate experience end‑to‑end
• Co‑own AI behavior with engineering and data science, defining interview flow, uncertainty handling, and trust signals
• Design for high‑volume mobile interviewing, treating the device as the primary constraint
• Build AI‑coded prototypes to resolve open questions and drive alignment
• Set standards for when AI‑generated work is acceptable versus hand‑crafted design
• Raise the team's AI fluency and establish interaction and visual standards for long‑term product growth
• Influence cross‑functional partners and become the go‑to designer for product decisions
• Advocate for design recommendations with data and defend to senior leadership
• Prioritize ruthlessly balancing short‑ and long‑term customer needs
• Mentor designers to improve craft and AI fluency

Requirements

• 7+ years of design experience
• Experience taking design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment at scale
• Experience developing, deploying, and managing AI products
• Prototyping and implementation skills
• Designing for both mobile and desktop applications
• Experience building complex software systems delivered to customers
• Ability to work with technical and product stakeholders to define requirements and influence roadmaps
