Principal UX Designer

Lead end-to-end design execution for high-impact product areas while driving complex projects to completion. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define UX models and mentor other designers to maintain high quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead design execution endâtoâend for a highâimpact product area, breaking down loosely defined projects to completion
- Understand the tooling industry and align projects with real customer workflows
- Partner with product managers, engineers, and crossâfunctional stakeholders to clarify requirements and build consensus
- Define and own UX models and experience transitions for the product area and adjacent experiences
- Identify needs for new design system patterns and champion their creation and documentation
- Plan, execute, and independently analyze research studies with stakeholders
- Mentor other designers, provide actionable feedback, and participate in hiring
- Proactively identify business opportunities and risks beyond the immediate focus area
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in product design or UX
- Advanced degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
- Demonstrated ownership of significant product areas endâtoâend
- Deep fluency with an industryâstandard design tool and ability to define new design patterns
- Experience planning, executing, and synthesizing formative and evaluative research
- Portfolio showing complex, ambiguous projects from loose definition to shipped product
- Proven ability to build consensus among peers and stakeholders using qualitative and quantitative reasoning
