Senior Mechanical Design Manager

Serve as the senior mechanical technical authority across EMEA, governing the European Reference Design, cooling strategy, plant standards, and technical reviews for mission-critical data centre projects. Support regional delivery and commercial teams, guide future cooling technology and sustainability initiatives, and maintain mechanical standards, QA frameworks, and design guidance.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior mechanical technical authority across EMEA, governing the European Reference Design, cooling strategy, plant standards, and technical reviews for mission-critical data centre projects. Support regional delivery and commercial teams, guide future cooling technology and sustainability initiatives, and maintain mechanical standards, QA frameworks, and design guidance.
Requirements
- Requires significant mechanical engineering experience in hyperscale data centres, mission-critical environments, or similarly complex settings, with deep expertise in cooling systems, thermal performance, capacity planning, and energy efficiency. A degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering is required; strong technical governance, commercial awareness, communication, and cross-functional collaboration are also expected, while chartership and platform experience are advantageous.
