Design Manager

Lead and coordinate design development for utility-scale Solar PV, BESS, and hybrid projects from concept through construction, including managing consultants and coordinating engineering disciplines and project interfaces. Optimise designs for site constraints, cost, reliability, and performance; review technical and contractor designs, manage network interfaces and risks, and develop standardised approaches to improve efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate design development for utility-scale Solar PV, BESS, and hybrid projects from concept through construction, including managing consultants and coordinating engineering disciplines and project interfaces. Optimise designs for site constraints, cost, reliability, and performance; review technical and contractor designs, manage network interfaces and risks, and develop standardised approaches to improve efficiency.
Requirements
- A relevant tertiary qualification in engineering or a related discipline and strong renewable energy design experience, ideally across Solar PV and BESS, are required. Candidates should understand Australian electrical design practices and be able to coordinate disciplines and consultants, assess designs commercially and technically, manage project risks and schedules, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
