Senior Design Manager, Supply Chain Facilities Management (SCFM), Supply Chain Facilities Management (SCFM)

The Senior Design Manager will own the end-to-end design strategy for supply chain facilities across NALA, EMEA, and APAC, ensuring consistency and quality. They will lead technical due diligence for building acquisitions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Communicate conceptual designs and maintain project documentation throughout construction
• Lead technical due diligence of candidate sites (structural, M&E, fire safety, compliance)
• Create and track metrics for cost, quality, and schedule; develop capital design budgets
• Collaborate with finance to secure project funding
• Partner with engineering leads to schedule resources and influence design changes
• Define project scope, schedule, and deliverables; create and review RFPs
• Manage external design consultants and ensure alignment with AWS standards
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, controls, and cabling engineers
• Identify innovative solutions to reduce cost and schedule without compromising quality
• Oversee permitting, regulatory compliance, and quality standards across projects
• Conduct after‑action reviews and drive process improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of design, construction, or program management in mission‑critical facilities
• 5+ years leading cross‑functional teams through launch and go‑live phases
• Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360
