The Academic Learning Design Lead will oversee the design and development of high-quality modules within the Virtual Learning Environment. They will collaborate with academic teams to create engaging, inclusive, and innovative learning experiences aligned with the PED model.
Responsibilities
- Lead academic design of assigned modules aligning with learning outcomes and PED model
- Collaborate in kickāoff meetings, design workshops, sprints and signāoff processes
- Create multimediaārich online lessons and interactive activities
- Design authentic, inclusive assessment tasks with feedback focus
- Manage timelines, communicate progress and flag risks early
- Ensure quality through review with Academic Reviewers
- Engage in professional development to stay current on digital pedagogy and emerging technologies
Requirements
- Passion for creating interactive, learnerācentred experiences
- Experience designing or delivering online/blended learning modules
- Strong written communication and inclusive design skills
- Familiarity with Moodle, Padlet, Mentimeter, H5P or willingness to learn
- Understanding of WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards
- Ability to work in agile, sprintābased processes
- Recognised teaching qualification
