Lead and coordinate M&E design development, reviews, and deliverables, ensuring technical compliance, system reliability, and integration with other disciplines. Manage design issues, technical submissions, value engineering, procurement input, and readiness for installation, testing, and commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Lead and review M&E design development, IFC drawings, specifications, calculations and equipment schedules
- Verify system capacity, redundancy, maintainability and resilience per project criteria
- Coordinate M&E interfaces with civil, structural, architectural, ICT and specialist systems
- Use BIM tools to detect and resolve clashes before site implementation
- Identify design gaps, assess buildability and drive value‑engineering opportunities
- Monitor design deliverables, manage queries and ensure consultant/sub‑contractor compliance
- Provide technical input for equipment selection, procurement, sequencing, testing and commissioning readiness
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of M&E design experience in construction
- Experience in data centre, semiconductor, pharmaceutical or other mission‑critical projects
- Proficiency with BIM tools and clash detection
- Strong technical review and coordination skills across civil, structural, architectural, ICT and specialist systems
- Ability to lead design integration, value engineering, modularisation and prefabrication initiatives
- Experience managing RFIs, design revisions and technical deviations
