Senior Software Engineer, Design Systems

Build AI-assisted workflows connecting Figma, prototypes, and Thumbtackâs production frontend, and evolve the Thumbprint design system to work effectively with agentic tooling. Partner with design, Developer Experience, and Frontend Infrastructure teams, gather user feedback, and evaluate emerging AI development tools.
Responsibilities
- Build AI-assisted workflows connecting Figma, prototypes, and Thumbtackâs production frontend, and evolve the Thumbprint design system to work effectively with agentic tooling. Partner with design, Developer Experience, and Frontend Infrastructure teams, gather user feedback, and evaluate emerging AI development tools.
Requirements
- Requires 6 or more years of software engineering experience, strong production frontend experience, and hands-on fluency with TypeScript, React, and related build, test, and deployment tools. Candidates should have practical experience with AI-assisted development tools, a record of building tools adopted by others, and strong collaboration skills; design system experience is welcome but not required.
