Lead the design of intuitive embedded and physical interfaces for small smart devices, producing wireframes, visual designs, prototypes, animations, and mockups suited to constrained hardware. Support research and usability testing, collaborate with developers and hardware and firmware engineers, and coordinate with industrial design, brand, research, and engineering teams throughout product development.
Responsibilities
- Lead design of digital and physical UI components for small‑form‑factor devices
- Produce wireframes, visual designs, prototypes, animations, and mock‑ups for constrained hardware
- Support and interpret user research and usability studies, including testing on physical prototypes
- Partner with developers and firmware/hardware engineers to ensure high‑quality implementation
- Maintain alignment with stakeholders through clear documentation and updates
- Collaborate across industrial design, brand, research, and engineering teams throughout the 4D development process
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or related field
- 8+ years of UI/UX design experience, with 8+ years focused on embedded or physical device UX
- High proficiency with Figma, Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, and prototyping tools such as Protopie
- Experience working with hardware/firmware engineers and industrial designers
- Strong portfolio showcasing device‑based UX
- Solid project management and multi‑workstream handling
