Senior Innovation Engineer, WW AMZL Innovation and Design Engineering

Lead end-to-end development and deployment of mechatronic technologies for Amazon delivery stations, including requirements, design, testing, validation, and field implementation. Coordinate with engineering, robotics, operations, vendors, and other teams to assess customer needs, manage project plans and budgets, and develop scalable automation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end equipment technology development from ideation to on‑site implementation
• Write requirements, functional specifications, verification plans and test procedures
• Collect field feedback and propose new solutions or enhancements
• Influence technical and business decisions using data‑driven analysis
• Define project timelines, manage budget and conduct progress reviews
• Partner with simulation teams to validate concepts and optimize workflows
• Drive scalability strategies with engineering, vendors, supply chain and corporate development

Requirements

• 5+ years of hardware design and validation experience
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, SolidWorks, CREO, BIM360, SketchUp, KeyShot
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering or equivalent
• Experience taking designs from concept through mass production
• Experience optimizing machine design for DFx, cost reduction and maintainability
• Fluent in English (spoken, written, reading)
• Project management experience in fast‑pace environments
