Senior Software Engineer, Design Systems

Build AI-assisted workflows connecting Figma, prototypes, and Thumbtackâs production React code, and evolve the Thumbprint design system to work effectively with agentic tooling. Partner with Product Design, Developer Experience, and Frontend Infrastructure, while gathering user feedback and evaluating emerging AI development tools.
Responsibilities
- Build AI-assisted workflows connecting Figma, prototypes, and Thumbtackâs production React code, and evolve the Thumbprint design system to work effectively with agentic tooling. Partner with Product Design, Developer Experience, and Frontend Infrastructure, while gathering user feedback and evaluating emerging AI development tools.
Requirements
- Requires 6 or more years of software engineering experience, production frontend engineering experience, and strong hands-on fluency with TypeScript, React, and related web development tools. Candidates should have practical experience with AI-assisted development tools and a record of building adopted tools or infrastructure, along with strong collaboration skills; design system experience is welcome but not required.
