Senior Innovation Engineer, WW AMZL Innovation and Design Engineering

Lead the end-to-end development of mechatronic products for delivery stations, from ideation and design to on-site implementation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, manage project timelines, and optimize workflows through automation and robotics.

Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end equipment technology development from ideation to on‑site implementation
• Write requirements, functional specifications, verification plans, and test procedures
• Collect customer feedback and propose enhancements
• Influence technical and business decisions using data‑driven analysis
• Define project timelines, manage budgets, and conduct progress reviews
• Partner with simulation teams to validate concepts and automate workflows
• Drive scalability strategy with engineering, vendors, supply chain, and corporate development
• Build and validate prototypes in the Innovation Center
• Create business cases and work with stakeholders to pilot new technologies
• Collaborate with robotics, software, process engineering, operations, and facilities teams

Requirements

• 5+ years of hardware design and validation experience
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, SolidWorks, CREO, BIM360, SketchUp, KeyShot
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in DFx (Design for Manufacture, Assembly, Cost, etc.)
• Strong written and verbal communication in English
• Project management experience in fast‑pace environments
