Responsibilities
- Lead design development for the Grimsby West 400kV substation, managing technical interfaces and design risks while guiding design decisions through pricing, early contractor involvement, and construction. Coordinate with National Grid, WSP, internal specialists, designers, suppliers, and project stakeholders to improve buildability, safety, quality, and programme performance.
Requirements
- Candidates should have experience in one or more EHV disciplines: primary engineering, secondary engineering, or cable systems, along with experience delivering large-scale transmission or substation projects. They should bring strong design management, communication, stakeholder engagement, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
