Manage consultants and design risks, coordinate with operational and commercial teams, support pre-construction and tenders, and promote safe, cost-effective design and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Candidates need experience as a Design Manager on social housing planned works, refurbishment, or retrofit programmes, particularly involving high-rise buildings, and a strong understanding of design management, construction delivery, procurement, Building Regulations, and health and safety. The role also requires consultant and stakeholder management, the ability to manage competing deadlines, a full UK driving licence, and willingness to travel; construction-related qualifications, professional membership, and retrofit compliance knowledge are desirable.
