- Design and prepare book layouts, jacket mechanicals, reprint corrections, and production files for original hardcover releases and paperback conversions. Present concepts, incorporate feedback, collaborate with editorial, art, production, and other teams, and meet production schedules.
Requirements
- Requires at least 3 years of professional book design experience, preferably in trade publishing, along with strong typography, layout, color theory, and Adobe Creative Suite skills. Candidates should be familiar with print production and able to manage multiple projects, communicate design ideas, and maintain high standards; a BFA or equivalent design experience is preferred.
