Finance Manager, Worldwide Design Engineering

Lead financial modeling, ROI and NPV analysis, and evaluation of building design decisions across Amazon’s worldwide operations fulfillment network. Partner with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to assess network impacts, improve financial processes, facilitate reviews, and support team development.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop financial analysis, ROI and NPV models for design decisions across the worldwide fulfillment network
• Collaborate with operations teams to evaluate inputs that support benefits of proposed building‑design modifications
• Identify and implement process enhancements to financial models and lead efforts to model new building types
• Partner with stakeholders to evaluate network impacts of design decisions and think critically about future infrastructure
• Facilitate and lead financial review meetings with senior business partners
• Provide mentorship, recruit top talent and champion diversity and inclusion initiatives within the finance community
• Promote work‑life harmony and act as a collaborative influencer across the organization

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics or a related analytical field
• 5+ years of tax, finance or related analytical experience
• 5+ years leading cross‑functional initiatives that drive financial performance
• 5+ years dissecting financial data and identifying patterns to support business strategy
• 6+ years identifying data issues, determining root cause and implementing escalation plans
• 6+ years delivering accurate financial models, analysis and recommendations with measurable impact
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL and experience with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos)
• Experience with financial systems such as Oracle, SAP, Lawson or JD Edwards
• Proficiency in forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis and data interpretation
