Senior Design Manager

Manage design delivery for water projects on the Northumbrian Water AMP8 Framework, including design partners, project teams, contracts, deliverables, programmes, and budgets. Ensure compliant, safe, buildable, and carbon-efficient designs through design reviews, risk and assurance processes, BIM strategy implementation, and coordination with framework and project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage design delivery for water projects on the Northumbrian Water AMP8 Framework, including design partners, project teams, contracts, deliverables, programmes, and budgets. Ensure compliant, safe, buildable, and carbon-efficient designs through design reviews, risk and assurance processes, BIM strategy implementation, and coordination with framework and project stakeholders.
Requirements
- Requires a civil engineering qualification and practical delivery experience, experience managing complex or sensitive programmes, and practical experience with NEC4 contracts. Candidates should have strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, a proactive approach, SMSTS and CSCS credentials, and a full UK driving licence; water-industry experience and relevant chartered status are desirable.
