Conduct user research and create information architecture, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and consistent visual designs. Test usability and accessibility, develop microinteractions and motion designs, and collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Conduct user research to uncover needs, behaviors and pain points
- Create information architecture to organise content and improve navigation
- Design wireframes, mockups and interactive prototypes
- Develop visual design systems including colour palettes, typography and iconography
- Run usability tests and incorporate feedback into iterations
- Ensure designs meet accessibility guidelines such as WCAG
- Design micro‑interactions and motion animations to enhance engagement
- Create data visualisations that clearly communicate complex information
- Collaborate with product managers, developers and other stakeholders to align designs with business goals
- Develop a comprehensive product‑management syllabus, mentor mentees and provide ongoing guidance
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of UI/UX design experience (preferably in edtech)
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI or related field
- Proficiency with design tools: Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD
- Strong understanding of UI design principles and best practices
- Experience with prototyping tools such as InVision or Proto.io
- Knowledge of front‑end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Familiarity with responsive design and accessibility standards
- Experience working with design systems and reusable components
- Knowledge of user research methods (interviews, surveys, usability testing)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Portfolio showcasing case studies and design process
