Senior Director, Silicon Architecture and Design Engineering (Ethernet)

Lead Altera’s Ethernet Center of Excellence and global silicon engineering organization, setting Ethernet architecture, technical direction, and multi-generation roadmaps across its programmable device portfolio. Direct end-to-end silicon execution and complex program delivery, while coordinating with customers, standards bodies, partners, and internal teams on architecture, IP strategy, and engineering methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead Altera’s Ethernet Center of Excellence and global silicon engineering organization, setting Ethernet architecture, technical direction, and multi-generation roadmaps across its programmable device portfolio. Direct end-to-end silicon execution and complex program delivery, while coordinating with customers, standards bodies, partners, and internal teams on architecture, IP strategy, and engineering methodologies.
Requirements
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, at least 15 years of silicon product development experience, and at least 10 years in networking and Ethernet technologies. Candidates must have deep IEEE 802.3 and high-speed Ethernet expertise, experience across the silicon development lifecycle, and familiarity with Ethernet through 800G-class and data-center networking; a master’s degree or PhD and experience with emerging 1.6T Ethernet and 112G/224G SerDes are preferred.
