Fire Protection Design Manager

Manage design and BIM work for new-construction sprinkler projects, including project schedules, designer supervision, drawing reviews, hydraulic calculations, and compliance with NFPA codes and project specifications. Coordinate materials, permits, shop drawings, field teams, and design issue resolution while supporting safety, profitability, and department planning.
Responsibilities
- Manage design and BIM work for new-construction sprinkler projects, including project schedules, designer supervision, drawing reviews, hydraulic calculations, and compliance with NFPA codes and project specifications. Coordinate materials, permits, shop drawings, field teams, and design issue resolution while supporting safety, profitability, and department planning.
Requirements
- Candidates need 5–7 years of fire protection design experience or equivalent vocational training and experience, along with prior supervisory or management experience. They should understand NFPA and local jurisdiction requirements, interpret architectural drawings, and be proficient with CAD or fire protection design software; NICET Level II certification is preferred but not required.
