Sr. Industrial Design Engineer, GES NA Design Engineering

Develop and deliver safe, cost-effective designs for fulfillment, sortation, and transportation systems, including equipment specifications, process flows, layouts, and retrofit solutions. Manage multiple engineering projects, coordinate with internal teams and vendors, establish consistent engineering standards, and communicate technical recommendations and business cases to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop innovative, lowâcapex solutions that are safe and improve productivity
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to create costâeffective designs for fulfillment, sortation, and transportation networks
- Manage multiple projects, influencing and negotiating with stakeholders and vendors
- Understand mechanical, electrical, and controls requirements and balance business value with technology risk
- Assist customers and engineering teams in making tradeâoffs based on business goals and technical constraints
- Drive consistent application of engineering changes across North America
- Build relationships with fulfillment center and sort center leadership and operations teams
- Transform raw concepts into clear technical documentation and present business cases to senior executives
Requirements
- 5+ years of design & innovation, research & development experience
- Bachelorâs degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Experience managing engineering design projects
- Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software
- Knowledge of system architecture, optimization, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and electronic system design
- Experience with automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and highâspeed manufacturing
- Experience with designâinâsafety
