Future Opening: Sign Production Specialist / Graphic Designer

The Sign Production Specialist will operate printing and cutting equipment to produce signage while ensuring quality control and accurate file preparation. They are also responsible for performing on-site installations and maintaining inventory levels for the production center.

Responsibilities

• Load materials into printers, table router, laser cutter and engraver
• Follow layout instructions to apply computer‑cut vinyl or graphics to substrates
• Prepare substrates (cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning) for vinyl application
• Weed excess vinyl from cut images
• Operate and maintain printers and related equipment
• Perform quality assurance before and after production
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating or mounting printed pieces
• Conduct on‑site and off‑site installations as needed
• Report inventory levels and reorder supplies
• Maintain clean and organized storage areas
• Prepare layouts, mockups, proofs and copy for print reproduction
• Modify logos and source high‑quality digital files
• Prepare files with bleeds, crop marks, die‑lines, and other finishing layers
• Archive completed files for future use
• Inspect jobs for accuracy and quality prior to production

Requirements

• 1‑2 years of sign production or graphic design experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to stand for long periods (4+ hours)
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
• Flexibility to work at waist‑high tables and perform precise hand motions
• Ability to work under pressure in a high‑volume environment
• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Knowledge of vinyl plotters, large‑format printers, and laminators
• Strong math, proofreading, and organizational skills
