You will lead complex research across the university's digital estate to turn user insights into meaningful product improvements. Additionally, you will mentor other researchers and champion user-centred design practices across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Establish and grow an evidenceâled research practice within UCLâs Experience Design team
- Lead complex research projects across UCLâs digital estate and translate findings into actionable insights
- Partner with product owners, designers, developers and senior stakeholders to influence decisions at project and strategic levels
- Develop and embed effective research methods, tools, standards and ways of working across teams
- Mentor and support other researchers, fostering a culture of evidenceâbased design
- Facilitate workshops and collaborative activities to generate insights and align stakeholders
Requirements
- Significant experience planning and delivering qualitative and quantitative user research across complex products or services
- Proven ability to influence product, service or organisational decisions through research evidence
- Experience developing, improving or embedding UX research practices, standards, methods, tools or ways of working
- Mentoring, coaching or supporting other researchers
- Facilitating workshops and collaborative activities with a range of stakeholders
- Proficiency with a range of prototyping, testing or research tools and techniques
- Strong communication and presentation skills for senior audiences
- Relevant qualification or experience in computer science, design, HCI, psychology, research methods, web design or related discipline
