You will develop and refine design concepts, prototypes, and visualizations to enhance user experience across digital products. Additionally, you will conduct user research and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain scalable design systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine design concepts, prototypes and visualizations to improve user experience
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Frontend Developers to maintain cohesive design systems
- Conduct user research including interviews, surveys and usability testing
- Review and update design standards and contribute to scalable design systems
- Participate in product planning, reviews, retrospectives and refinement sessions
- Present design proposals to stakeholders and incorporate feedback
- Create graphics and visual assets for digital content as needed
- Stay informed about emerging trends, tools and technologies in digital design
Requirements
- Relevant academic or professional background in Design, Media Design, Software Development or related field
- Several years of experience developing digital products, preferably in media or journalism
- Proficiency with Figma, Jira, Slack, Adobe Creative Suite and Asana
- Ability to conduct user research independently (interviews, surveys, testing)
- Experience with AI‑powered tools such as Claude, Figma AI, Large Language Models
- Excellent German communication skills (minimum C1 level)
- Proactive attitude, strong organization and passion for innovative digital design
