UI/UX Designer – Web App Platform

You will design and evolve the UI/UX for the company's web app, dashboard, and website while collaborating directly with the IT consultant to implement solutions. The role involves managing the entire design process from wireframing and prototyping to final integration and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve the UI/UX of the 0 Waste web app, organizer dashboard and corporate website
• Create wireframes, user flows, mockups and interactive prototypes using Figma or similar tools
• Define a coherent visual identity and develop a design system for the platform
• Translate graphic concepts into fully integrated digital interfaces, working closely with the IT consultant
• Follow the process from design to implementation, ensuring final output matches design intent and provides a great user experience
• Improve the web app flow from QR‑code scanning through registration, gamification and cup return
• Make the organizer dashboard clearer, more intuitive and immediately actionable, especially for event data visualization
• Design new features related to gamification, engagement, sponsorship and data collection
• Rebuild and evolve the corporate website, focusing on structure, content, visual identity, performance and SEO
• Analyze user behavior and gather feedback to identify friction points and improvement opportunities
• Participate in on‑site events to observe real‑world usage and translate observations into concrete design enhancements
• Contribute to digital experience evolution for future integration with cash‑register, payment and venue systems
• Leverage AI tools to speed up research, design, prototyping and iteration
• Maintain consistency across platform, website, interfaces and digital materials

Requirements

• Current student or recent graduate in Design, Interaction Design, Digital Design, Computer Science, Engineering or related fields
• Strong proficiency with Figma or equivalent design tools
• Ability to design modern, clean, and functional UI beyond static graphics
• Capability to translate requirements into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and final interfaces
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript or frontend frameworks (not required to be a developer)
• Sensitivity to UX, information hierarchy, responsive design and usability
• Detail‑oriented with a holistic view of user experience
• Interest in digital products for non‑technical users in dynamic, high‑attention contexts
• Willingness to use AI tools to accelerate research, design and iteration
• Ability to work independently, accept feedback and iterate quickly
• Fluent in Italian and English
• Portfolio showcasing UI/UX, web apps or digital product work (preferred)
• Experience with design systems and component libraries (plus)
• Experience with advanced prototyping tools (plus)
• Basic frontend development knowledge (plus)
• Experience in projects where design was turned into a functional digital product (plus)
