The Graphic Designer I develops visual concepts and designs for various print and online publications to support the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs. They collaborate with instructional departments to produce high-quality artwork, layouts, and reports while meeting critical project deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Develop visual concepts and designs for print and online publications such as brochures, flyers, posters, and reports
- Collaborate with instructional departments and Public Relations to meet design specifications and revise designs based on feedback
- Produce desktop publishing layouts and prepare graphics for websites and presentations
- Maintain project status reports and ensure timely delivery of design assets
- Present design solutions to supervisors and internal clients
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Graphic Design, Art, or related field
- At least one year of relevant work experience (preferred)
- Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat Pro
- Strong desktop publishing and page layout skills
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and meet critical deadlines
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and internet research
