Electrical BIM Designer, DC Design Engineering

Design electrical systems for data centers using Revit to create and maintain BIM models. Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors to produce construction documents and ensure design quality.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for data center projects and create BIM models in Revit
• Develop construction documents, one‑lines, panel schedules, and lighting layouts
• Perform electrical calculations such as short‑circuit, arc‑flash, voltage drop, and conduit sizing
• Coordinate with internal groups, suppliers, consultants, and contractors to resolve design issues
• Maintain and update BIM templates and regional standards
• Participate in clash detection and resolution meetings with other trades
• Support information exchange processes and respond to construction phase requests
• Travel to data center sites for engineering evaluations and surveys as needed

Requirements

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission‑critical facilities
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Professional experience using Revit for electrical BIM models and construction drawings
• Knowledge of NEC codes and safety regulations
• Ability to perform short‑circuit, arc‑flash, voltage‑drop, and grounding calculations
• Experience preparing detailed electrical design documentation
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
