Senior Design Engineer, North America AMZL Design Engineering

The Senior Design Engineer will drive the design, standardization, and optimization of delivery station processes and building layouts across the North American network. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new design standards, improve capacity, and ensure operational safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop building layouts, material flow, and conveyor systems for delivery stations
- Create and release design packages for new stations and capacity upgrades
- Collaborate with design managers, CAD drafters, real‑estate, construction, and finance teams
- Standardize design practices across regions and drive continuous improvement
- Lead design quality control to achieve zero‑defect designs
- Implement new design standards, templates, and safety processes
- Travel up to 25% to conduct site surveys, audits, and resolve field issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field
- 8+ years of experience as an industrial/operations/manufacturing/project engineer
- Knowledge of automated material handling systems and packaging technologies
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Project)
- Intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL
