Remote Contract

The role involves planning and conducting research with waste pickers and partners to map operational flows and identify product opportunities. You will be responsible for creating service blueprints, facilitating cocreation sessions, and defining the MVP for the Cataki 2.0 project.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct research with waste collectors, cooperatives, internal teams, sponsors and partners
  • Observe field activities, mutinues, events and operational processes
  • Map journeys, actors, tools, rules, data, failures and dependencies
  • Create journeys and service blueprints for prioritized flows
  • Facilitate ideation and co‑creation sessions with involved areas
  • Organize problems, hypotheses, evidence and opportunities
  • Develop low‑ and medium‑fidelity prototypes
  • Conduct concept and usability testing
  • Identify data and evidence needed by the product
  • Support product prioritisation of the MVP and scope preparation
  • Document learnings, decisions, limitations and open questions

Requirements

  • Experience in Product Discovery, UX Research or applied research to products and services
  • Proficiency with interviews, contextual observation and field research
  • Ability to map journeys, flows and service blueprints
  • Facilitation, ideation and co‑creation experience
  • Strong synthesis and communication skills with diverse audiences
  • Autonomy in a loosely structured environment
  • Sensitivity to work with vulnerable populations
  • Knowledge of accessibility, low digital literacy and limited connectivity
