Graphic Designer

The Graphic Designer is responsible for planning, designing, and producing a wide range of promotional and corporate communication materials while maintaining brand consistency. They also manage project schedules, budgets, and pre-press coordination with printing houses to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Design and produce artwork for advertisements, digital ads, HTML materials, editorial publications, brochures, posters, invitations, annual reports, proposals, stationery, performance programs and signage
• Create graphics for Banff Centre website and online platforms
• Manage on‑site design projects such as signage and advertising boards
• Coordinate pre‑press activities with printing houses, obtain quotes, schedule production and conduct press checks
• Maintain project schedules, budgets and ensure timely delivery
• Lead brand identity initiatives and ensure visual consistency across all communications
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging design technologies

Requirements

• 5+ years of graphic design experience
• Diploma or degree in graphic design or related field
• Experience designing for arts or post‑secondary institutions (asset)
• Experience producing corporate publications
• High technical proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat and Photoshop
• Working knowledge of Adobe Animate and After Effects (asset)
• Strong portfolio demonstrating layout, typography and production‑ready artwork
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Collaborative team player
• Detail‑oriented and well‑organized
