Design Manager

The Design Manager will lead and develop the design office team while coordinating with production, logistics, and quality departments. They are responsible for optimizing packaging designs to reduce costs and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage and motivate the design office team through meetings, individual interviews, skill development and performance tracking
- Coordinate with Commercial, Production, Logistics, Quality and Purchasing departments
- Monitor service performance indicators and ensure budget compliance
- Optimize packaging designs to lower material costs and reduce manufacturing time
- Guarantee compliance with quality, safety and environmental standards
- Participate in industrial testing, supplier qualification and continuous improvement projects
- Conduct technology watch and identify packaging sector innovations
Requirements
- Bachelor's to Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent
- 10 years of experience in a similar role
- Proficiency with ArtiosCAD, Impact, AutoCAD or equivalents
- Knowledge of palletisation tools (CAPE or equivalent)
- Skill with graphic creation software (Illustrator or equivalent)
- Understanding of colour‑management solutions for flexographic printing
- Familiarity with corrugated cardboard and packaging manufacturing processes
- Expertise in SAP, Office 365, Excel or similar ERP tools
- Proven project management and team leadership experience
